Cryptosporidium and Giardia are microscopic protozoan parasites that are found in surface waters of rivers and lakes used for drinking water. MMLI is accredited by the USEPA for the LT2 Rule, and is one of the few laboratories across the U.S. that have committed resources to provide this complex testing. As one of the handful of laboratories across the US, MMLI has committed itself to supporting the SDWA testing program by equipping our labs with state-of-the-art instrumentation and highly skilled professionals.
