Many industries must identify and characterize potential harmful hazardous wastes. Sometimes these wastes are transported to private and public landfills. As a leader in hazardous waste testing MMLI assists our industrial clients to determine the characteristics of their waste, as well as, providing monitoring and testing for landfills involved in waste management.
Methamphetamine Property Clearance Testing The Problem Hazardous chemical residues from the manufacturing, or ‘Cooking”, of methamphetamine can contaminate the property and contents inside. When properties are not properly decontaminated or cleaned prior to public usage, the residue exposure can pose a significant health risk to innocent people. Illegal methamphetamine cooking generates residual methamphetamine, along with other associated hazardous waste. Household surfaces (rugs, furniture, drapes, walls, air ducts) can absorb process contaminants. Kitchens and bathrooms often become dump sites for hazardous waste creating a point source for waste water system contamination. Remedies Remediation of property has been frustrated by the lack of comprehensive standards and procedures for decontamination of the property. Many states have developed laws requiring these properties to be cleaned and tested prior to being released for human use. McCoy & McCoy Laboratories, Inc. has developed testing methods utilizing High Pressure Liquid Chromatography Quad Mass Spectrophotometer (HPLC MS/MS) and Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrophotometer (GC/MS) to provide accurate testing for methamphetamines and its associated hazardous wastes.
